This Spencer juggy had been spray painted black everywhere – knobs, condenser and one of the objectives.
The nasty spray paint was removed and many new coats of enamel paint were applied before sanding and polishing. The parts that should be lacquered have been coated with a nice bright orangey colour typical of Spencer.
I find jug-handled microscopes very pleasing although they aren’t the easiest to polish.
